I am very happy with the car overall. It is exactly what I ordered. However, I was extremely disappointed when I lifted the all weather mats to see how much debris was on the carpet. No attempt to vacuum the carpet was made before the mats were installed. Whoever installed the mats had to see the debris and just ignored it. The car was used before we took delivery because there was an extra 80 miles on the odometer. The carpet was obviously not protected. The sales manager did offer to detail the car and take care of it, but that was an inconvenience for us. This tainted the overall excitement and impression of me getting my new car!

Then about 5 days later got a call saying my vehicle had damage to the front end and the exact word were.... we'll we just don't know where it happened maybe on the tow truck or something we're just not sure but 5 days after? They just wanted to pull a fast one thank got my insurance adjuster went there few days before and took pictures otherwise I'd be out the money myself... deff will never go back to that place.

None of our paperwork was prepared in advance so we were there for hours. Sales Manager tried shaking us down for $10k more with a totally bogus payment. Told him we ran the numbers ourselves the night before and magically he came back with what we were expecting. The dealership itself was absolutely disgusting. From bathrooms, guest lounge, desks/furniture…. They had loud rap music playing in the overhead speakers. Honestly we could not get out of there fast enough. After ordering our vehicle on 2/1 from another dealership, our allocation was never picked up. This particular dealership had one close enough so we grabbed it. We bought a $87k vehicle and it felt gross to be there. I cannot believe GM allows this low standard of their brand.

i had a very bad experience for the second time at this dealership. The first time that I went here, I told them that my transmission felt like it was not changing gears correctly. They told me that because I did not buy the vehicle from them that I needed to take it to the dealership that I bought it from. Well, three days later, I broke down because my transmission did not operate at all. Recently, I went to LaFointaine and told them that I have a screw in my tire and it needed fixed. The first question that they asked me was what dealership that I bought the vehicle from. Then they said that I needed to make an appointment at that dealership...Because it was a safety concern, I was furious! I told them that I refuse to be treated like this and that I was not going to leave until they fixed the problem. At that point, then they fixed it!!!! I don't recommend this place to anyone!!!

the staff were very friendly and helpful. Listened to my concerns and made suggestions to complete service to keep my new vehicle at its best possible condition. The staff went above normal service attention to point out imperfections in the vehicle paint from the factory. They have informed the dealership and manufacture that the hood and front grill paint need to be repainted/buffed out to remove the imperfections to the paint. The service staff have already received approval to have these imperfections taken care of, and we are currently decided on a date that works best for both of us. This is the type of attention to detail that makes a dealership stand out above most. Very pleased with having my vehicle serviced by LaFontaine GMC Dearborn.

My visit to GMC LaFontaine in Dearborn began professionally, as the service porter demonstrated good customer service and respect. Unfortunately, that professionalism quickly ended. My Service Advisor, Alan Kincaid, was completely unprofessional and displayed a serious lack of customer service skills. When I asked basic questions, his responses were rude, dismissive, and delivered with an unnecessary and hostile attitude. His behavior escalated to the point where he was raising his voice and yelling, causing other employees and customers in the service department to stop and look. This behavior was unacceptable and highly unprofessional. I was told my vehicle would be ready in approximately an hour and a half. During that time, Alan repeatedly asked whether I would be waiting or taking my car elsewhere. I clearly stated that I would be waiting in the customer lounge. After the estimated wait time passed, I received no update, no communication, and no courtesy check-in. I eventually had to get up and find Alan myself, at which point he abruptly said, “Your car is ready—here are your keys,” without any explanation or apology for his earlier behavior. To make matters worse, no one escorted me to my vehicle or informed me where it was parked. I had to walk around the dealership searching for my own car in the back lot. At no point did Alan come to the customer lounge to notify me that my vehicle was ready. This lack of basic service and professionalism is completely unacceptable. As a representative of a large corporation, Alan Kincaid should understand that respectful communication and clear customer service are not optional—they are fundamental requirements. There is no excuse for confrontational behavior, poor communication, or disregard for a customer’s time. This level of service should not be tolerated in any customer-facing role, especially in a dealership environment where trust and professionalism are essential. This was my first visit, and it will absolutely be my last. I do not typically leave negative reviews, but this experience made it necessary. GMC LaFontaine should seriously reevaluate how service advisors are trained and held accountable, as no customer should be treated the way I was during this visit.
